Banning books is dangerous, divisive, and ultimately short-sighted. In a democratic society, diverse thoughts or ideas should be welcomed and celebrated because it encourages cognitive and moral development. In contrast, “denying access to books and literature” leads to indoctrination, silences opposition, and restricts intellectual growth necessary for our very survival.
